Introduction
The Water Classic Commentary is a historical-geographical text with extensive historical value written by Daoyuan of the Northern Wei Dynasty. In the course of its long circulation, a large number of misrepresentations and confusions emerged, and since the end of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Mou began to study the Water Classic in a more in-depth and systematic way. In the Qing Dynasty, with the flourishing of koans, more scholars researched and collated this book, among which the achievements of Quan Zuwang, Zhao Yiqing, and Dai Zhen were especially outstanding.
