This New Board Supplement to the World's Convenient Use of Wenlin Miaojin Wanbao Quanshu is a set of general daily use books, abridged and re-edited by Liu Shuangsong, a book carver of the Ming Dynasty. The book is divided into 8 sets: gold, stone, silk, bamboo, lagenaria, earth, leather, wood. 38 doors: astronomy, geography, martial arts, qin, chess, calligraphy, medicine, agriculture and mulberry, goblet, laughing, law disease and so on. This is the publication of Shulin Anzheng Tang in the 40th year of Ming Dynasty Wanli (1612). The books were divided into various categories, such as agriculture and mulberry, medicine, food, housing, clothing, travel, carriage, calendar, meteorology, criminal law, taxation, arithmetic, fortune-telling, good advice, relief, monkhood, and ruler's documents, etc. The books were divided into different categories, either extracted from canonical texts, or taken from folklore, or with slang, or illustrated with text, and were generally intended to be readily available to the general public, such as scholars, farmers, and industrialists.
These are the same as what is commonly known as a family life manual.
