Introduction

The Transcripts is a philosophical work, compiled by Wang Yangming's disciples who compiled his quotations and letters. Wang Yangming was a Chinese philosopher of the Ming dynasty and a representative of the central school of Song and Ming philosophy. This book contains his quotations and correspondence. It is a representative work of the Ming dynasty's school of mind, and the word "Chuanxi" is derived from the phrase "Chuan Bu Xi Hu" in the Analects of Confucius.
