Introduction
"Elementium Ichihara" is a mathematical work written in the Qing Dynasty. It is a mathematical work discussing the power series expansion of trigonometric functions in the Qing Dynasty. The first six volumes were written in succession between 1837 and 1846.
The "image" refers to a series of similar isosceles triangles, and the "number" refers to the progressive numbers, i.e., the binomial theorem coefficients of rational exponential powers. Both of them are related to the sine vector, and the corresponding sine vector formula can be derived from this relationship. This is the origin of the title of the book. The last volume and some parts of the fourth and sixth volumes were added by Dai Xu, and the whole book was proofread by Dai Xu.
